The classic Wizard playstyle focuses on maximizing the damage of Storm Gust, Meteor Storm, and Lord of Vermilion to clear entire dungeons in seconds. High Wizard amplifies this with improved spell coefficients and the coveted Magic Rod skill for SP sustainability.
Storm Gust remains your primary farming and CC tool — the freeze rate is essential for safety in dangerous zones. With proper INT and DEX investment, High Wizards can achieve near-instant cast times on AoE spells.
Storm Gust (Lv. 10)
Your primary farming and CC tool. The freeze rate is essential for safety. Against groups of 10+ mobs, Storm Gust + Lightning Loader creates devastating chain freezes.
Meteor Storm (Lv. 10)
Top tier AoE damage against Earth and Undead targets. Use Heaven's Drive (Lv. 1-5) as a faster, cheaper AoE for lower-health mobs.
Magic Rod (High Wizard)
Redirects enemy spells to the caster's SP instead of HP. Essential for surviving against magical bosses and MVP encounters.
AoE Gear Arsenal
Eden Staff III as base weapon. Shadow Wizard Armor boosts Storm Gust and LoV damage. Look for Cast Time reduction stones on all gear.
- INT 99 / DEX 80-99 for maximum MATK and reduced variable cast times.
- VIT 30-50 is essential for surviving mob hits while casting.
- Mage Coat [1] provides much needed INT and MDEF for tankiness.
- Use Heaven's Drive (Lv. 1-5) as a faster, cheaper AoE for lower-health mobs like Orcs or Wolfs.
