Refine & Blacksmith Blessing
ROZ can break gear from +1 — learn Enriched ores, HD protection, and how Raid Blessings keep your armor alive.
Last updated: September 3, 2026
Classic players expect a safe refine floor. Ragnarok Zero: Global does not give you one. Equipment can break starting at +1. That single rule changes how you budget Zeny, when you slot cards, and why Blacksmith Blessing is the most important consumable after Fly Wings.
The cash shop sells Enriched Oridecon/Elunium (higher success) and HD ores (above +7, failure downgrades instead of destroying). Paid refining is a shortcut, not a requirement — farmed Blessings plus market Zeny are enough for serious +9 goals.
Break risk from +1
Assume every click can delete the item. Never refine the only copy of a carded weapon. Craft or buy a backup first.
Blacksmith Blessing
Guarantees the item is not destroyed on failure (typical ROZ usage). Sources include MVP Raid quests and the player market. Buy with farmed Zeny before you touch Enriched ores.
Enriched vs HD
Enriched materials raise success odds. HD materials change failure behavior on high refine so the piece loses a level instead of vanishing. Read the live tooltip — wording can shift per patch.
What to push first
Armor and shield Hard DEF usually beat vanity shoes. Weapons matter for DPS, but a shattered unique carded weapon ends a season.
Merchant / Blacksmith economy
September Blacksmiths will print refine services. Merchants who stock ores and Blessings early fund alts and Raid consumables.
Pair with Options
Do not slam refine on a terrible Option roll. Farm a clean base, then Blessing-protect the path to +7/+9.
- Screenshot tooltips before a refine session — patch notes can retune rates.
- Never refine while distracted or mid-Raid queue.
- Sell surplus Raid mats into Blessings; do not sit on unusable ores.
- If a seller promises “safe +10 scripts”, report and move on — that is not how ROZ works.
