10% EXP Death Penalty
Dying removes 10% of your current Base EXP bar — not just a sliver like classic RO. At higher levels, a single death can undo an entire session. Never grind without an exit plan.
Fly Wing Emergency Exit
Bind Fly Wings to an instant hotkey. When aggro spikes or HP drops unexpectedly, teleport out immediately. The zeny cost is always cheaper than 10% EXP.
Attack Speed Potions
Concentration Potion and Awakening Potion increase attack speed, shortening fights and reducing exposure time. Maintain uptime while farming — treat them as mandatory, not optional.
Rebalanced Monster Threat
Monsters that were trivial in classic RO may hit harder or have vastly inflated HP. Scout new maps — including Nordfeld — manually before enabling Auto-Hunt.
UI Scale 100%–205%
Launch clients let you enlarge the HUD independently of resolution after OBT readability complaints. Set this before binding Fly Wings. A tiny hotkey bar is how 10% EXP disappears.
Combat Checklist
- Scout maps manually before AFK Auto-Hunt
- Keep healing items above 50% inventory threshold
- Avoid multi-aggro chains — pull one mob at a time when learning a zone
- Party with a healer for dangerous maps; the EXP share radius rewards tight formations
