Comodo Northern Caverns
Comodo Dungeon guide — one of the two new dungeons from the September 3, 2026 patch, expanding the Level 35–50 progression range.
Last updated: September 3, 2026
The Comodo Northern Caverns (Comodo Dungeon) opened alongside Orc Dungeon in the September 3, 2026 patch. Accessed via the northern Comodo cave entrance, this dungeon introduces a new monster roster scaled for characters between Base Level 35 and 55, making it the primary progression dungeon for the Job 50 push window.
Key monsters include Dark Priests, Mimics (which drop valuable cards early in the economy), Poison Spores, and the dungeon MVP — which drops cards and materials that feed the Comodo-specific headgear crafting line confirmed at the Bangkok showcase.
Comodo Dungeon's layout is vertically oriented with multiple cave floors. The narrow corridors make it ideal for parties that coordinate single-target burst — AoE is less effective here than in open-field dungeons. The mimic population makes card-farming parties highly profitable during the first month.
Mimic Drops (Economy Driver)
Mimics in Comodo Dungeon have a high card drop rate compared to other dungeons. Running this dungeon in the first weeks after September 3 will flood the market with Mimic Cards — early farmers earned 2–4 million Zeny per card in comparable ROZ economy cycles.
Dark Priest (Primary Threat)
Dark Priests cast magical AoE that can wipe parties under Base Level 40. Bring a Priest for support, or burn them first with ranged burst before they complete their spell cycle.
Comodo Headgear Crafting Line
Materials from Comodo Dungeon — confirmed at the Bangkok showcase — feed into a Comodo-specific headgear set. This creates a crafting economy niche similar to Nordfeld's headgear line.
Narrow Floor Layout
The cave's tight corridors reduce the effectiveness of wide AoE builds. Prioritize single-target burst DPS and position carefully to avoid pulling multiple Dark Priest groups simultaneously.
- Start with the upper floors and work downward — upper floors have lower monster density but safer XP per hour for undergeared parties.
- Mage and Wizard burst shines here — Fireball and Cold Bolt one-shot most non-MVP mobs in the 35–45 level range with correct elemental conversion.
- Buy or craft Earth Resistance gear before entering if you are under Base Level 40 — Poison Spores apply a stacking DOT that can kill Auto-Hunt targets mid-loop.
- Comodo Dungeon mimics make this one of the best early card-farming dungeons in the current patch — bring a party for maximum mimic spawns per hour.
