Memory Features
One of ROZ Global's six headline modernizations — curated progression convenience alongside UI scaling and Auto-Hunt.
Last updated: September 3, 2026
At the Bangkok showcase, Gravity listed Memory features among the six major updates that define Ragnarok Zero: Global versus classic Ragnarok Online — alongside UI upscaling, Auto-Hunt, adjusted MVP rates, revised drop rates, and new maps like Nordfeld.
Memory features are designed to reduce friction for returning veterans and long-session players without replacing core gear, card, or Rune progression. Exact unlock steps live in the client and may be tuned post-launch — always read current tooltips.
Think of Memory as a convenience layer, not a power shortcut. Fresh accounts still need Fly Wings, Job 50 discipline, and Nordfeld/Guild loops before chasing Memory milestones.
Showcase positioning
Gravity grouped Memory with Auto-Hunt and UI scaling as the modern accessibility trio. It signals ROZ's 'Designed from Zero' philosophy — keep the soul, rewrite the friction.
Not a skip button
Memory does not erase the 10% death penalty, refine break risk, or party EXP radius rules. It complements progression; it does not replace combat discipline.
Patch-sensitive
Global launch numbers can differ from Korean or Taiwan Zero data. Verify Memory rewards and costs in-game after each maintenance.
Pairs with Ascension
Memory convenience and Ascension skill access both widen mid-game builds. Plan stat spreads before investing heavily in niche skills you may respec after September 3.
- Check Memory UI after major patches — Gravity retuned cash shop and progression systems throughout both OBTs.
- Do not dismantle valuable cards for Runes until you know which Memory milestones you are chasing.
- Returning RO veterans: toggle classic UI if the new layout feels alien, then explore Memory at your own pace.
- Official explanations live on roz.mygnjoy.com and Discord — fan wikis (including this one) lag hotfixes.
