Global Service, Languages & Local Flavor

One Midgard for SEA, Europe, and Oceania — eight languages, city-themed BGM, and timezone math for guilds.

Last updated: September 3, 2026

Ragnarok Zero: Global is the first PC Ragnarok title Gravity Game Unite built as a single service for Southeast Asia, Europe, and Oceania. You are not picking iRO versus a private SEA box. Adventurers share the same world, which is why guild raid hours and later War of Emporium times will collide across timezones.

Servers opened August 18, 2026 at 00:00 UTC (08:00 in the Philippines, 01:00 in Germany, 10:00 in Sydney). The client ships eight languages. Gravity’s public list always includes English, Thai, German, French, and Spanish; this wiki also tracks Turkish, Indonesian, and Simplified Chinese because those match the live audience Gravity named for the global PC service.

Localization is more than a language dropdown. The Bangkok media showcase attached custom BGM and costume themes to classic cities so the shared world still feels local. Gravity also noted during OBT that some regions lean into crafting while others chase rankings — that mix is the point of a unified service, not a bug.

Client languages

  • English
  • Thai

City themes previewed at the Bangkok showcase

Prontera — Thailand

Capital theme scored and dressed with Thai identity. Gravity previewed both the track and costume work at the Bangkok showcase.

Al de Baran — Philippines

Clock-tower city paired with Filipino motifs. UnGeek and the showcase both called out Philippine costume icons.

Geffen — Malaysia

Mage city with a Malaysian theme. Gravity Game Unite is based in Malaysia — expect this one to stay visible in promotions.

Alberta — Indonesia

Port city themed for Indonesia. Bespoke BGM for Indonesia was listed alongside Thailand, Germany, the Philippines, Malaysia, and France.

Morroc — Germany

Desert city with a German theme. Gravity previewed the German track at the same event that highlighted the German community meetup.

Christmas in the 13th Month — France

French-inspired seasonal theme (showcase title). Additional UK and French costume portals were shown as still in the lineup.

What “global” actually changes

  • One world for SEA, Europe, and Oceania — plan guild hours before you main a timezone-heavy support job.
  • Play-to-win positioning: Game Pass is access, not a damage paywall. Shop still sells QoL; spend it on EXP per hour.
  • UI scale 100–205% independent of resolution, shipped after OBT readability complaints.
  • Cash shop retunes after OBT: beginner weapons, consumables, gacha mileage, and overpowered-item nerfs.
  • Pre-launch meetups in Germany and Thailand with Gravity Co-CEO Yoshinori Kitamura, GGU President Harry Choi, and EP Yong Nam Kim.
  • OBT2 recorded 129,614 characters and a 20h 47m 51s speedrun by Skadi — the live economy is already denser than a dead private server.
